The Inaugural Pennsauken, New Jersey Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018. The run/walk will be held in the scenic Cooper River Park at the Jack Curtis Stadium, Pennsauken, NJ just over the river from Philadelphia. This will be a timed race. Join us on World Ostomy Day to support ostomy awareness and resilience in an event to benefit United Ostomy Associations of America a 501(3)(c) non-profit a national charity founded in Camden County.

The race will be held in Cooper River Park at the Jack Curtis Stadium, Pennsauken, NJ. This will be
a timed race.
Free parking is available on both sides of Jack Curtis Stadium, as well as on North Park Dr.
Pre-race Packet Pick up: To be Announced…
Day-of packet pickup will be from 9am-10am on October 6th at the race site at 5300 North Park Dr.,
Pennsauken, NJ 08109.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers, age group winners,
Stroller winner, and the top 3 ostomates.
Tech T-shirts will be included with registration if registered before the deadline. Race shirts will be either unisex or female v-neck cut. You are guaranteed a race shirt if you register by September 20th. You may purchase additional race shirts for $10 each.
Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.
We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATION link at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.
Your commitment to fundraise and support the ostomy and continent diversion community is no small endeavor, and we appreciate your dedication and hard work.
- “Empower” Fundraisers who raise $150 or more will receive a unique and limited T-shirt.
- “Champion” Fundraisers who raise $250 more will receive a distinctive, adjustable Visor.
- The Top Fundraising Team will also be awarded a ‘Special’ Prize!
OPTIONAL OSTOMY POUCH
Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on the pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.
The Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be a family-friendly event that will include kids’ activities.
