The 2nd Annual Harrison Township, MI Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k is on Saturday, October 5, 2019. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Pre-registered Packet Pick-Up

Please note the Registration Fee for those registering after September 13th is $33.


This Certified Run/Walk will be held within Lake St. Clair Metropark at the West Playfield Shelter near the Nature Center, taking participants on the scenic boardwalk along Lake St. Clair. The flat, out-and-back, 5K course will start and finish at the West Playfield ShelterThis is a timed race on a certified course for 5K participants. The Fun run will utilize the same course without a timer.


Park entrance fee is not included.


Ample parking for the event is located within the Nature Center parking entrance.


Pre-registered day of packet picjup will be from 8:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m.

Day-of packet pickup will be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on October 5th at the race site at Lake St. Clair Metropark, 31300 Metro Parkway, Harrison Township, MI.


Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers, age group winners, and the top 3 ostomates.


Tech T-shirts will be included with registration if registered before the deadline. Race shirts will be either unisex or female v-neck cut. You are guaranteed a race shirt if you register by September 17th. You may purchase additional race shirts for $10 each.


Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on the pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.


The Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be a family-friendly event including a silent auction and kids’ activities.


Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATION link at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.
