Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k

The 2021 Events will be Virtual. Join us on World Ostomy Day Saturday, October 2, 2021 wherever you live.

Celebrate World Ostomy Day on October 2, 2021 with the Worldwide Virtual Ostomy 5k or support a local virtual event near you and help us spread the message that “Ostomies Are Life-Savers!” The Ostomy 5k events are key fundraisers to support the programs and services of United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA)

Run, Walk or Roll in your own neighborhood or park (or inside on a treadmill) in support of ostomy awareness. Ask your family, friends or support group to join or donate to your own virtual team.

Worldwide Virtual Walk/Run: More information coming soon!

Register for this Virtual Event if you don’t have a local virtual event in the states listed below.

Worldwide Virtual 5k Event

We know how much the ostomy community looks forward to getting together to raise awareness and celebrate Ostomy Awareness Day. However, since we’re unsure of what’s ahead with COVID-19 leading into the Fall, UOAA and our dedicated Race Directors have decided it is better to create a safe and social distancing environment to celebrate and spread the message that “Ostomies Are Life-Savers”. Therefore, our local Ostomy 5k events across the country will be held Virtually within their communities rather than in-person this year.

What does that mean for you, your family and friends?  With your registration for your local Virtual Run/Walk, you will receive a unique 10th Anniversary Ostomy Awareness Day Race T-Shirt. We encourage you to wear it at your favorite place to run, walk or roll in your community while raising awareness. Or, if you feel more comfortable staying at home, hop on your treadmill or take a stroll through your neighborhood.

As this is a critical fundraising event for our nonprofit organization, we encourage you to start a Personal or Team Fundraiser when you register, and ask your family and friends to join you to help support UOAA and our mission.

All events benefit United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
